Magda Sobolewska - Founder of MS Dance
Magda is a renowned UK-based and international Latin dance teacher, performer, and social dancer.
Born and raised in Poland, Magda began her dance journey as a street dancer, competing in numerous events, appearing on TV programs, and performing in shows across Europe. She also trained in Ballroom and Musical Theatre.
In 2004, Magda discovered her passion for Latin dance, training and performing with several world-class international instructors. By 2011, she was performing in the UK and internationally with a professional Latin dance company, a journey that continued until 2019.
Magda began teaching in 2007 and quickly built a reputation as a skilled instructor thanks to her clear and structured approach. She combines strong technique and elegant styling with an emphasis on fun. Detail-oriented, she invests in her students’ growth by adapting to their individual learning styles and guiding them on and off the dance floor. Teaching both as a leader and a follower, Magda’s versatility, distinctive style, and passion make her a unique and highly sought-after instructor.
Today, Magda runs MSDance, alongside various teaching and performing initiatives. She is also a regular artist at international festivals. In addition, Magda has worked as an Artistic Director, Movement Director, and Choreographer for both stage and film.
Alex Rasero - Partner
Alex, a professional Latin dancer since early 2000, first began learning Latin rhythms in his hometown dance academy.
After only a few months, he was offered the opportunity to lead classes, which was then the beginning of his teaching career.
Almost two years later, after learning Latin rhythms, contemporary, ballet, jazz, and ballroom under international dance artists, he became in high demand for his own bachata style, developing into and proving to be a popular teacher and choreographer.
After taking a break in his dance career, Alex started to become more involved in the competitive side of bachata, winning his first bachata competition in Spain.
Thereafter, he undertook several national competitions continuing to be placed in the top ten before a relocation to the UK, where he consistently started to reach the top.
Alex has a wealth of performance experience performing and teaching internationally. Alex's choreographies and students have become teachers, have won national competitions, and performed internationally.
